Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has refuted reports he is planning to leave the club at the end of the season.
Xhaka is in his fifth year at the Emirates and has already established himself as an integral squad member for Mikel Arteta.
However, reports suggest the 28-year-old is one of five Arsenal stars looking to leave the club ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Athletic reported there are rumblings of discontent within the Arsenal dressing room and the Gunners staff contend a minimum of five players could exit.
But Xhaka has moved to calm nerves in north London, insisting he and his family are happy at Arsenal.
"There are always rumours at the end of the season, that’s for sure. But I still have a two-year contract in London and I am very happy with my family here," Xhaka said as cited by Metro UK.
"First of all, I’m looking at a successful Euro 2020 with the national team," he added.
The midfielder further took time to delve into his club's disappointing campaign across competitions this season, citing injuries on key players among the reasons that led to their exit from the Europa League at the semi-finals stage.
"All in all, it was very unfortunate for us, especially in the second leg we had a lot of injuries and couldn’t play with our best team," he noted.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Arsenal have revived their slim European football hopes after securing a vital 3-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The Gunners were looking to take advantage of Tottenham Hotspur's defeat to Aston Villa to revive their hopes of making an appearance in Europe next season.
Nicolas Pepe produced a man of the match performance as he scored twice to add to substitute Martinelli's goal as Christian Benteke's strike turned out to be mere consolation.
The result saw Mikel Arteta's men climb to ninth with 56 points, with just a game left to end the season.
