Cristiano Ronaldo seems to have subtly sent a message to his doubters amid reports he is ready to hang up his boots after a tumultuous last few weeks.
The 37-year-old is currently without a club after his deal with Manchester United was terminated by mutual consent.
This came after the five-time Ballon d’Or winner did an explosive interview with Piers Morgan where he openly criticized United and the club’s hierarchy.
On international level, things also did not go to plan for Ronaldo as well, as he was controversially benched from the starting XI by the now-sacked coach Fernando Santos for his country’s World Cup knockout games.

According to Bleacher Report, Ronaldo is however not planning to retire from international football and feels he still has something to offer to his nation ahead of the Euro 2024.
Ronaldo’s suble social media message
At the moment, Ronaldo’s prime focus is staying fit as the search for a new club continues.
He recently shared to his 517 million followers a video of himself training at the gym, and in the background was a Portuguese song with the lyrics translated as:
"You don’t know about me. Don’t cry more for me"
This can be interpreted as a direct clap back to his doubters, who feel it might be time for him to call time on a very lucrative career, especially because he directly recorded the screen playing the song at that exact part of the lyrics.
