Croatia fell to an embarrassing 3-0 loss to Argentina in the semi-final and lost the chance to make it back to back finals, so was Morocco who missed the chance to make perfect history after 2-0 loss to France.
Chelsea have two contingents left at the World Cup, Mateo Kovacic of Croatia and Hakim Ziyech of Morocco, both of whom will play the bronze medal match later today.
The two players started out in the same group, a group that also contained Belgium and Canada. Morocco finished group winners and Croatia finished second.
Midfielder Mateo Kovacic has now revealed a rather funny prediction made by their Chelsea teammates about each players' chances at the World Cup.

Chelsea players got it wrong
Mateo Kovacic exposed Chelsea players joke while speaking to the press ahead of the third place match as quoted by Evening Standard.
The former Madrid midfielder revealed the Blues team teased him and Ziyech as the first two to be eliminated from the World Cup.
“I am very glad Morocco made it this far, they are a great team. I have been in touch with Ziyech before and during this World Cup. All of the others joked that Ziyech and me would come home first... and here we are almost at the end of the World Cup. Both of us are very proud of what our national teams have achieved.” he said.

FootballThe Zagreb born midfielder also reserved special praise for Ziyech as one of the standout players of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
“Hakim Ziyech is a really great player along with the many others who have stood out at this World Cup.” he added.
AC Milan reconsidering Ziyech transfer
Sports Brief earlier reported that AC Milan are reconsidering signing Ziyech from Chelsea due to his wage demands.
The Moroccan has been linked with an exit from Chelsea with AC Milan a possible destination but the Rossoneri could back out.
He is also attracting interest from other clubs including former club Ajax and Premier League clubs.
