Les Bleus were without influential players like Paul Pogba, N’Golo Kanté, Christopher Nkunku, Presnel Kimpembe and Karim Benzema through injury.
Get Football News France reported that French President, Emmanuel Macron was considering taking the injured stars with him to watch the final.
The publication quoted French Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castera, who explained that it was the President's wish to have them there.

“I know he wants to. I know that this is being considered. We will see if logistically and materially, all of this can land. In any case, it is the President’s wish to get them on board, so that they can fully take their part in this adventure,” Oudéa-Castera was quoted as saying.
Will Benzema play?
While Benzema may attend the final as a spectator, there are still questions about whether he will play in the game. The attacker is still registered with the French squad for the tournament and has returned to training with Real Madrid.
However, coach Didier Deschamps has refused to disclose whether Benzema will be a part of the squad for the final, Daily Mail reported.
Benzema could snub France return
Sports Brief also reported Benzema will not be rejoining the France squad ahead of the World Cup final this Sunday, December 18, despite being eligible to return.
