Roma manager Jose Mourinho was not keen on answering questions linking him to the vacant Portugal job after the sacking of Fernando Santos.
Santos had his contract terminated on Thursday, December 15 by mutual consent after his side bowed out of the Qatar World Cup via a shock 1-0 defeat to Morocco in the quarter-finals.
Reports from Italy have suggested Mourinho is a frontrunner for the job, and the former Chelsea and Manchester United tactician was typically bombarded with questions on the same, as per Daily Mail.

On paper, he would be the perfect fit for the Portugal national team because of his strong knowledge of the Portuguese football culture along with his tendency to succeed in cup games.

It has also been reported that Paulo Fonseca, a former Roma boss, is also in the frame for the vacant Portugal job.
