Benzema who was initially named in France’s 26-man squad for the World Cup missed the tournament after picking up a thigh injury on the eve of the competition.
The 34-year-old forward has since flown back to Madrid to begin rehabilitation after being sidelined for at least six weeks due to the injury.

Meanwhile, Didier Deschamps refused to confirm whether Karim Benzema could rejoin the France squad in Qatar before they take on Argentina in the World Cup Final on Sunday, Fox Sports reports.
Reports have suggested that the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner has returned to full training with Real Madrid, meaning there's a possibility he'll at least be in attendance for Sunday's final.
Benzema is eligible to return to the French squad as he was not replaced from the French roster after picking up an injury that sidelined him from the rest of the tournament in Qatar.
