His incredible run of form has been pivotal in Argentina's campaign in the tournament, having already booked a spot in the final.
The star forward scored once and set up another on Tuesday, December 13, as La Albiceleste silenced Croatia 3-0 to qualify for the final round.

However, Argentina's comfortable victory was clouded by an injury scare, with Messi spotted holding his hamstring at one point.

However, the 35-year-old has come out to allay fears about his fitness, revealing he will be ready for the final.
Speaking after the Croatia clash, the Barcelona icon insisted that he is 'feeling strong' to play every match. Argentina will play France in the final of the 2022 World Cup.
"I am enjoying this A LOT. I am feeling really good, I feel strong enough to face every match," Messi said as quoted by Daily Star.
"The previous match was a big sacrifice. Today we were tired, but we pulled out strength to earn the victory. We played very well, we preferred to play this way because we knew they would not have the ball," he added.
