Folarin Balogun is in awe of Kylian Mbappe’s exploits with the French national team and Paris Saint-Germain, as the 24-year-old is regarded as arguably the world’s best young player.
Mbappe is currently on a quest to win his second World Cup title and has played a key role for Les Bleus, scoring 5 goals for Dider Deschamps' team in Qatar.
According to Soccernet, Balogun - who has Nigerian heritage - is the first to admit that there is no comparison between him and Mbappe, saying the Frenchman is a player he would like to emulate.
“Mbappé is a phenomenon. I respect him enormously. He is young, like me, and I have always admired everything he has accomplished for some time. He also plays in France in addition. I want to follow in his footsteps and have his impact.”

Balogun and Mbappe are two of the top scorers in the French Ligue 1 this season, with the Arsenal loanee on 8 goals while Mbappe has scored 12 for PSG this campaign.

Meanwhile, France striker Mbappe is shaping up to become the best player of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Marca reports.
