Former Black Stars midfielder Laryea Kingston has been named assistant coach of the national U17 team.
The 42-year-old will work with Karim Zito, who has been reassigned as head coach of the team and former Hearts of Oak captain Jacob Nettey.
The Ghana Football Association confirmed the appointment of the ex-Ghana international on Monday, December 12, 2022.
Kingston and the technical team have been charged with the task of qualifying Ghana to the next U17 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Black Starlets have failed to appear at the tournament since finishing second in 2017 in Gabon.
The two-time U17 world champions will be hoping to also qualify for the next FIFA U17 World Cup.
Kingston has rich experience at youth level, having worked with the Right to Dream Academy in the past.
He also had a successful career, playing for Hearts of Oak, Hearts of Midlothian and Lokomotiv Moscow. He made 42 appearances for the national team.
Laryea Kingston opens up on missing World Cup
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that legendary Ghanaian winger, Laryea Kingston, has revisited the disappointment of missing two World Cups with the Black Stars.
The 41-year-old missed the 2006 and 2010 World Cup despite playing a huge role in the qualifiers for both tournaments.
Kingston missed Germany 2006 after he was suspended for three games following an altercation with Senegal's Habib Beye at the Nations Cup the same year.

Ex-Black Stars midfielder Laryea Kingston has urged the Ghana Football Association to intensify their chase for players in the diaspora in a bid to bolster the national team ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
The football federation has been hot on the heels of Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi, Tariq Lamptey of Brighton, Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah, and the Williams brothers ahead of the global showpiece.
Despite the attempts made by the Ghana FA, the fate of the aforementioned stars and a host of other players in the diaspora remains uncertain.
