Manchester United striker Anthony Martial scored a brilliant no-look penalty in training, as he gets up to speed after months of injury problems.

Martial hasn't had luck with injuries in the recent times, and Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival last season saw him lose his position as the starting striker.

However, since Ronaldo's dramatic departure from the club a few weeks ago, Martial is set to play an influential role under Erik ten Hag. He remains the only player that can play as a striker.

He had a forgettable loan spell at Sevilla earlier this year which was derailed by injury. Despite playing only a few matches this season however, he has contributed with goals and assists.

With the Premier League set to return in a few weeks after the conclusion of the 2022 World Cup, Martial is expected to lead the line for the team as they look to finish in the top four.

Martial's no-look penalty

The French midfielder took some time during the team's recent training session, to try out some penalties with one of the club's goalkeepers.

In the video, posted on the club's Twitter account, Martial rifled a no-look penalty into the left-hand corner and was all smiles.

Ten Hag considers the 27-year-old the best finisher at the club and since arriving as a teenager in 2015 from Monaco, he has proven that claim, according to Reuters.

According to Transfermarkt, the French forward has scored four goals and provided two assists in seven games this season.

Martial in training altercation

Sports Brief earlier reported on Martial getting into an altercation with a Man United teammate in training.

Teenager, Daniel Gore was keen to impress during the session, only for him to go slightly over the top with a 'robust tackle' on Martial.

The French player did not take the challenge lightly, as he reacted furiously and squared up with the youngster.
