- Arsenal will be without striker Gabriel Jesus for months after surgery on ankle injury
- Eddie Nketiah is expected to fill in for Jesus, but Arsenal have been told to sign Goncalo Ramos
- Ramos announced himself with a hat-trick for Portugal on his first World Cup start
Arsenal were dealt a big blow with the injury to Brazil striker Gabriel Jesus. He got injured representing his country at the World Cup and it required surgery.
The surgery was successful as confirmed by the club, but he will be out for almost three months, which means Arsenal's title charge will be led by young English striker Eddie Nketiah.
There are concerns over Nketiah fitting in seamlessly in place of Jesus and contributing enough to sustain the title charge. Midfielder Granit Xhaka backs him to succeed.
Arsenal are continuing to make considerations and have been advised by many to go into the market in January to provide cover for Nketiah due to possible injury or fatigue.

Arsenal advised to sign Ramos
One of the most sought after players right now is Portugals breakout star at the World Cup, Goncalo Ramos who scored a hat-trick in the 6-1 win over Switzerland.
Ramos who plays for Benfica in his home country is now being considered by many clubs including Manchester United and Arsenal have been advised to join the race.
Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson speaking to OLBG as quoted by Football London, has advised the Gunners to look in the direction of the 21 year old, who could also be a long term option for Arteta.
''Arsenal have Eddie Nketiah as their striker now with Gabriel Jesus injured for months, it's now Nketiah’s opportunity to step up and take that position. But if he struggles, it will be an area they have to address in January. If they have the budget, they should go sign a player like Goncalo Ramos, they need to look at that position,'' he said.

FootballBenfica won't sell Ramos
Sports Brief earlier reported that the bad news for clubs who want Ramos in January as Benfica has declared him not for sale in the winter as said by the club president Rui Costa.
Ramos release clause stands at €120m as reported by Sports Mole which is the figure Benfica would be demanding in the summer when they plan to cash in on their player.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can afford to put down such a ridiculous figure considering the club's history of modest spending.
