Netherlands boss Louis Van Gaal took pride in the fact that his Dutch teams were yet to ever taste defeat in regular time as he revealed plans to walk away from the Dutch national team for the third time.

There were uncouth incidents during and after the encounter, and it was all accelerated after Leandro Parades smashed a ball into the Netherlands technical area.
After the game, Van Gaal detailed some of the insults he was subjected to by some of the Argentina players.
"I speak a little Spanish, after the game the goalkeeper of Argentina told me that I spoke too much." He said as quoted on The Mirror.

In his post-match press conference, Van Gaal also made it clear he would be leaving the Netherlands job after his nation’s World Cup exit.
