Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni has given an update on the condition of Paulo Dybala and why he is yet to play a minute at the 2022 World Cup.
Dybala made Scaloni's list for Qatar despite a hamstring injury initially threatening his presence. He recovered in time and made one final appearance for AS Roma before the World Cup.
The former Argentina player has now downplayed concerns over why Dybala has not played, saying it is not down to a fitness issues.
The words won't stand well with AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho, who would have expected the 29-year-old to get valuable minutes.

Scaloni's update on Paulo Dybala
Scaloni, speaking at the press conference ahead of the quarter-final match against the Netherlands, said Dybala would need to wait for his chance.
''He didn't play because I didn't see the moment to play him. He is well, he can be part of the starting XI, but in the matches we have played, we haven't had the chance to field him," said Scaloni via Roy Nemer, reported by Sportskeeda.
Dybala has played 10 games in all competitions for Roma, scoring seven goals and assisting a further two. He helped the club qualify out of their Europa League.
Mourinho concerned about Dybala
Sports Brief earlier reported that Dybala spoke on Mourinho's influence and how it has helped him get back to his best form, and make La Albiceleste's World Cup squad.

FootballHaving not been fully fit before the tournament kicked off, Dybala said the Special One had called him to chat about his condition daily since he arrived in Qatar.
Mourinho was the one who convinced Dybala to join AS Roma, after the Argentine's contract expired at Juventus and was not renewed. He linked up with the Portuguese at the Italian capital and has been an important players for the Giallorossa.
