Nigerian international Oghenekaro Etebo has given assurances that the Super Eagles will do everything to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Nigerian national football team failed to qualify for the 2022 edition of the global showpiece currently being held in Qatar.
Ghana's Black Stars put up a hard fight at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in the return leg to claim a 1-1 draw and proceed to the tournament.
The first leg, held at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, ended 0-0 meaning the Black Stars qualified for the World Cup courtesy of the away goals rule.

Etebo was in action for the Super Eagles in the 1-1 draw in Abuja.
He has lamented Nigeria’s failure to participate in Qatar, but believes that things will be different ahead of the 2026 tournament.
Etebo was quoted as saying on brila.net as per Complete Sports:
“I have had good memories, I was at the last edition in Russia and I had hopes of playing in Qatar, but it was not meant to be. It hurts not playing in Qatar but as a team, we will ensure we qualify for the next edition.”
The 2026 World Cup will be co-hosted by three countries: the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
