After the loss to England, the 30-year-old wrote:
“Dear brothers, the people are very proud of your journey, and you have put the balm[on] the hearts of Senegalese and all supporters by defending the national flag with dignity.
Mane also urged his national teammates to keep learning, while wishing them good fortune.
“We will go in search of more trophies Inshallah.”
Mane had been touted to lead Senegal to glory at the global showpiece, but he suffered a knock on his knee that ruled him out of the tournament.
The forward, who has 34 goals in 93 caps for his country, said the players had made the Senegalese people 'very proud' with their performances.
Despite starting strongly and spurning a golden opportunity, Senegal were sliced open far too easily by the Three Lions, who scored two quick goals in the first half.

FootballRoy Keane blasts Senegal supporters
Sports Brief earlier reported that former Manchester United captain Roy Keane came up with a classic Roy Keane remark, as he tore into the Senegalese support base.
Keane was on punditry duty on ITV as England faced the Teranga Lions in the fourth round of 16 clash at the Al Bayt Stadium.
Known for their flamboyant, loud and non-tiring singing, the colourful Senegal supporters were in full flow at the stadium to cheer on their side, but Keane faulted them for being annoying.
