Senegal who are the reigning champions of Africa have been fined the sum of 10 000 Swiss Francs for their failure to have a player from their squad present at the pre-match press conference after their game against Ecuador.

According to the report on Kickoff, FIFA chiefs were not happy with Senegal's failure to provide any player for the press conference, and that made them to fine the Teranga Lions.

When will Senegal face England?
Senegal will go into big battle with England in the round of 16 clash at the World Cup on Sunday, 4 December, with 8pm the kickoff of the duel.
England in their history have never lost any match against any African nation in 20 of their previous meetings.
Ismaila Sarr steps up
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Watford winger Ismaila Sarr scored a filthy no-look penalty for Senegal in their last group A game against Ecuador, which they won 2-1 on Tuesday evening, November 29.
The reigning African champions have secured their place in the round of 16 of the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, having finished second with six points.
They started their campaign with a 2-0 loss against the Netherlands, but came back stronger to win their next two games.
