Romelu Lukaku was left distraught following Belgium's shock exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup, after a goalless draw with Croatia.
Lukaku was brought on as a second-half substitute, as the Red Devils sought to unlock a stubborn Croatia defence marshalled by Josko Gvardiol.
However, the 29-year-old striker would let the entire nation down as he was guilty of profligacy in front of goal, missing four gilt-edge chances.

Despite Lukaku's efforts to make amends for his misses, he ended up squandering one opportunity after the other, to sum up what has been a calamitous World Cup campaign for Belgium, who finished third at the last edition.
The Chelsea loanee could not hold his emotions in as referee Anthony Taylor blew the final whistle. He was inconsolable, ruing his missed opportunities as Thierry Henry comforted him.
A visibly frustrated Lukaku later took his anger out on the dugout, after Belgium's 'golden generation' were knocked out of the World Cup on the back of a disappointing goalless draw.
On his way to the dressing room, Lukaku landed a solid right jab to the dugout, smashing the window as a result, Sport Bible reports.

Belgium suffer early elimination
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Lukaku missed a string of late chances as Belgium crashed out of the World Cup in the group stage, after a 0-0 draw with Croatia on Thursday.
Croatia had an awarded penalty controversially cancelled by VAR review, early in a largely uneventful first half.
The introduction of Lukaku at the interval changed the game, but he was guilty of three dreadful misses as Zlatko Dalic's side rode their luck to hold on.
