Romelu Lukaku missed a gilt-edged opportunity, as Belgium's uninspiring campaign at the 2022 World Cup ended disappointingly.
The Europeans crashed out of this year's Mundial, following their goalless draw with 2018 finalist Croatia at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium on Thursday, December 1.

But Lukaku, who was brought on to unlock the resilient Croatia defence, ended up missing a glorious opportunity which could have given the Red Devils a fighting chance.
His missed opportunity has been making the rounds on photos shared via social media, seen by Sports Brief. The burly striker was presented with an open goal chance, but ended up missing his target with a wayward effort.
