Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has made an assessment of Manchester United midfielders, offering different views on each of the five senior midfielders.
Scholes went ahead and picked Brazilian midfield powerhouse Casemiro as one he would form a good midfield partnership with if he were still playing.
He highlighted Casemiro's ability to sit, protect his defence and allow his midfield partner attack as a standout quality that makes him an ideal mate.
He however called a partnership of him and Bruno Fernandes a disaster because of similar qualities while also critical of his combination with Eriksen.

Scholes compared Casemiro to some of Manchester United greats including Casemiro, he said this in an interview with MUTV transcribed by Mirror.
''It’s quite an easy question because of the style of play. I’d much prefer to play with Casemiro, somebody who I knew could play the position really well. He probably reminds me of Carrick, Roy Keane, and midfielders of his type. If I had to choose out of the two, it would have to be Casemiro.''
He further said his midfield pair with Eriksen, or Fernandes will score so many goals but concede similar amounts of goals.
Sports Brief earlier reported that Scholes criticized United's transfer model which included the signings of Raphael Varane and Casemiro from Real Madrid.
Ranking the 10 best attacking trios in football history
FootballHe was concerned with Manchester United offering Casemiro a lengthy contract as well as huge salary, for a player already in his thirties. He looks convinced otherwise now.
Casemiro is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. He formed a midfield trio with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos at Real Madrid and won three consecutive UEFA Champions League trophies.
