Some wildly claimed that the Chelsea right-back has no football knowledge.

"You have zero football knowledge"
"For someone as good as Reece his football knowledge is questionable"
One declared that Liverpool right-back is better than him.
"This is why Trent is better than you!"

Another questioned James's football ability after he picked Ronaldo over Messi.

"Always know you are overrated; you don’t know ball."

Another added that his opinion on the debate is why he's not at the World Cup.

"This is why you're missing the WC, finished RB"

Others were just disappointed with him

"Rare massive L."
"Who is this guy?"
"I’m ashamed of you."

Ronaldo's contract at Manchester United was terminated last week, and there's been increased speculation about his next move. ESPN reports that the Portugal captain has been offered a humongous deal to play in Saudi Arabia.

The Times reported that Messi was close to agreeing a deal with David Beckham's Inter Miami in the Major League Soccer (MLS)

These transfer rumours are evidence that the careers of two icons are coming to end. Both are on the other side of 30 and will likely retire in the next half a decade.

Their retirement will bring to an end their illustrious and trophy-laden careers at the top of the game.

Ronaldo ludicrous offer

Sports Brief earlier reported that Ronaldo has reportedly agreed to join Saudi giants Al Nassr on a two-and-a-half-year deal

According to reports, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will be pocketing a jaw dropping d £173million per year

The lucrative deal will see him become the best-paid athlete in the world, ahead of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar.

The amount is almost triple what Messi is earning, with the Paris Saint-Germain ace pocketing £62.5 million.
