Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has outlined the first thing head coach Erik Ten Hag must do in his first season at the club.
Ten Hag took over the Manchester United job at the start of the season after leaving Ajax and his immediate objective would be to win a trophy.
Manchester United have not won a trophy since they won the UEFA Europa League in 2017 under Jose Mourinho, reaching the final against last year but lost to Villarreal.
It is important for Erik Ten Hag to win a trophy in his first season and return the feeling back to United with at least three trophies still within reach.

A big step forward for United
Paul Scholes had a trophy filled career at Manchester United and he would love to see his former club return to that era of winning.
Scholes while speaking to Man Utd official website said it will be huge and a big step forward to win a trophy.
“It will be important. It is important for the fans as well: to get to Wembley for a day out. A big day out at the end of this season is something we're looking forward to. Hopefully it can come. We've not won a trophy for, what, five years now, so if Ten Hag can get an FA Cup or a League Cup in this first season, I think it will be a big step forward." he said.

FootballTen Hag wants Leao and Gakpo
Sports Brief earlier reported that Ten Hag wants to sign two players in January, AC Milan's Rafael Leao and PSV's Cody Gakpo.
Cody Gakpo's signing became a priority after Cristiano Ronaldo's contract termination while Rafael Leao is to give Manchester United depth on the wings.
United will face competition from a host of other clubs for Rafael Leao, especially Premier League rivals Chelsea, who are hot on the heels of the AC Milan star.
