Rio Ferdinand described Lionel Messi as an “alien” following his incredible performance for Argentina in their 2-0 win against Poland on Wednesday, November 30.

According to Eurosport, Ferdinand praised Messi’s influence in the Argentine team as he concurred that the 35-year-old was the best player in the game against Poland.

Szczesny had placed a €100 bet with Messi as he was confident referee Danny Makkelie would not point to the spot after checking VAR following an incident with Argentina's captain.
