Manchester City centre-back Ruben Dias has been named Premier League player of the 2020-21 season.
The 24-year-old Portuguese became an instant success after joining the Etihad Stadium outfit from Benfica last September in a deal worth £61.64 million.
He beats competition from Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes, Aston Villa's Jack Grealish, West Ham's Tomas Soucek, Chelsea's Mason Mount, and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah to the award after an outstanding debut season in England.

The defender kept 15 clean sheets in all 32 games he played in the season under review while recording 23 wins in the process according to stats provided on the Premier League website.
He also helped the Citizens keep a 15-match winning streak, the fourth-longest run in the Premier League history, while making 35 interceptions, 24 tackles, 23 blocks, and 135 recoveries.
Dias was also part of the City team that reach the final of the Champions League but they lost to Chelsea at the end of the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Portugal international is now the fourth defender in history to win the award after Nemanja Vidic, Vincent Kompany, and Virgil van Dijk.
The centre-back also became the second player from his country to clinch the prize after Cristiano Ronaldo for Man Utd in 2006/07 and 2007/08.
The public vote was combined with those of the 20 club captains and a panel of football experts to determine Dias as the winner.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Sergio Aguero's father Leonel has slammed Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola claiming that the Spaniard did not treat his son well at the Etihad.
Aguero's father made these remarks while responding to the question of whether he was moved to Pep Guardiola's public tears on his son's departure at the Premier League club.
Aguero came off the bench to score two goals for Manchester City in his last Premier League game for the Citizens before he moved to Spanish giants Barcelona.
