According to TimesLIVE, Ngubane said:

“Because I retired at the age of 36 and was still buzzing. People [said to] me, ‘Please, don’t retire’. I always say this boy [Cristiano] Ronaldo, he must retire, not keep going because people say, ‘Ronaldo please play’. Ronaldo is tired.”

Billiat is 32-years-old, with Ngubane implying that either he was either an age-cheat, or his lifestyle off the field made him look older. Neither Billiat nor his representatives have responded to what Ngubane has said to the public.

In November 2020, Soccer Laduma published an article which compiled a list of those who were credibly accused and caught for lying about their age.

Former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates winger Sifiso Myeni has resurfaced in the most unlikely of places.

The 34-year-old Myeni is now in the employ of VTM in Botswana's Second Division, as reported by Sports Brief. After having departed Bidvest Wits not long ago, he barely played for TS Sporting, before disappearing from the local football scene.

Myeni signed up for VTM back in August.

Orlando Pirates' Monnapule Saleng slipped through the fingers of Kaizer Chiefs

Imagine Monnapule Saleng ripping it up for Kaizer Chiefs.

It turns out Orlando Pirates' hottest property could have been in the famous gold-and-black of the Amakhosi, as reported by Sports Brief.

Saleng almost joined his childhood team but for a Chiefs scout overlooking him.
