Aboubakar's cameo performance earned him plaudits from far and wide, including Griezmann, who was part of the French squad that won the World Cup in 2018.

Griezmann's famous celebration

The Atletico Madrid striker was particularly impressed by the celebration Aboubakar hit after his wonderful, chipped-over goal for Cameroon's second. The Al Nassr forward took the Call Me celebration, which was made popular by Griezmann.

Griezmann's celebration is a little bit different from Gabriel Jesus', who uses one hand, unlike the two hands of the former.

The Les Bleus striker will probably be rested when France takes on Tunisia in a dead rubber match for the defending champions, while Aboubakar will be hoping to lead his side to unprecedented glory against Brazil.

Watch Aboubakar's goal vs Serbia

Sports Brief earlier reported that Aboubakar got off the bench to inspire Cameroon, in a nail-biting six-goal thriller with Serbia. The Indomitable Lions star was introduced into the game with the African nation trailing by 3-1, with a little over 30 minutes left on the clock.

His substitution proved an inspired choice by head coach Rigobert Song, as the 30-year-old forward scored and provided an assist.

The Al-Nassr striker has been hailed for his awe-inspiring cameo, which helped Cameroon secure a vital point from the jaws of defeat.
