Cristiano Ronaldo spectacularly unveiled his latest statue in New York, after appearing on huge billboards at Times Square to officially unveil the effigy.
The Manchester United star, who is currently with the Portuguese national team in Qatar preparing for their opener against Ghana, could not make a physical appearance in New York but appeared boldly on screens to mark the moment.
In a video posted on social media, Ronaldo is seen counting down from seven as the statue was unveiled.
The football icon was carved wearing the Portuguese jersey as the Iberian country eye success in Qatar.

Portugal will begin their tournament with a clash against four-time African champions Ghana on Thursday November 24.
The 2016 European champions will then face Uruguay four days later, before finishing the group with a clash against South Korea.
Ronaldo is making his fifth appearance at the global showpiece.
