Qatar goalkeeper Saad Al Sheeb has been attacked on social media by football fans who were not satisfied with his performance against Ecuador in the opening match of the 2022 World Cup.
Going into the 2022 World Cup, Qatar as the host nation prepared hard and put in place many resources for them to have a good tournament in their nation.
As the host country, people of Qatar were expecting their players to shine against Ecuador in the first match, but the South Americans were more determined to win.
Ecuador started the match impressively and it took them 15 minutes to open scoring through Enner Valencia who also went ahead to double the lead via a penalty in the 31st minute.

Valencia scores the first goal
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Ecuador talisman Enner Valencia scored the first goal of the 2022 FIFA World Cup via the penalty spot in the opening match of the competition.
Valencia had earlier broken the game's deadlock against host nation Qatar after just two minutes however his goal was ruled out for offside after a VAR review.
