Former AC Milan Manager Fabio Capello Names Spanish Club Ready To Swoop on Victor Osimhen

A former AC Milan manager Fabio Capello has suggested that Spanish giants Real Madrid might be planning to swoop on Victor Osimhen.

Capello hinted this during the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai where the 23-year-old Nigerian was named the young player of the year.

The former Italy manager disclosed that Los Blancos might be planning to raid Napoli as soon as the January transfer window opens.

Osimhen has been in blistering form since his move to Italy in the summer of 2020 and reports have it that his value is going over the roof, with only the wealthiest clubs in the world likely to be able to afford the Nigerian forward.

But Capello believes the Ivorian legend Didier Drogba had more quality than Osimhen as he also claims Milan forward Rafael Leao is classier than Osimhen.

Capello told Sky Sports via TMW.

“Drogba was also awarded… The perfect example, even if he had more technique and quality. But Osimhen is young; he can improve.

“Leao has more class, but Osimhen is a centre-forward, one who scores; he has the qualities to be a crack.

“I’ve heard rumors here in Dubai; De Laurentiis (Napoli owner, Aurelio) needs to straighten his antennas. I know several here… Real Madrid? I won’t name names, not even under torture.”

Osimhen joined Napoli in an African transfer record deal in 2020.
