- Finidi George, who is the current assistant coach of the Super Eagles, has sparked reactions on the internet
- The former Ajax superstar was caught 'dragging' Pepe's shirt with Nigerian winger Moses Simon
- Fans were left perplexed that despite the heavy loss against the World Cup-bound team, that scene was embarrassing
A clip is currently making the rounds on social media, showing the moment assistant Super Eagles coach Finidi George looked sad after Real Madrid legend Pepe handed Moses Simon his shirt.
Pepe, who currently plays for FC Porto, was in action for 90 minutes as Portugal thrashed Nigeria 4-0 in an international friendly.
Two first-half goals from Bruno Fernandes and a goal each by Goncalo Ramos and Joao Mario in the second half, were enough to hand the World Cup-bound team an emphatic win.
Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro, appointed in May, led the side against his home country and they were thoroughly spanked.

After the game, players from both teams exchanged pleasantries. However, George was disappointed when he asked Pepe for his shirt.
Cameras captured the moment Simon met with the centre-back to swap shirts, but Finidi appeared in a manner like "I wanted to ask him too".
Nigerians have since taken to social media to blast Finidi, who won the Champions League with Ajax back in 1995.
"Finidi George shamelessly begging for Pepe’s shirt is so embarrassing to watch," said one.
Another added:
"These average players & their clueless coach lost scandalously to Portugal, rather than feel remorseful, Finidi George ( Assistant Coach ) became a Beggar overnight fighting for & dragging Pepe's shirt with Moses Simon... Utterly disgraceful."
A fan replied:
"Finidi George is an embarrassment. Did you even play the match? Why begging Pepe to give you his shirt like an idiot. Nigerians will embarrass you anywhere they go."
