The banter between football teams and fans is commonplace, but a group of Argentinian fans have taken it way too far.

The fans, who are currently in Qatar for the World Cup, were filmed singing racist songs directed at the French national team and Kylian Mbappé in particular.

As reported by the Mirror, the group were being interviewed by a reporter from TyC Sports, one of the biggest sports channels in Argentina.

The reporter then asked the fans to perform a chant for the viewers back in Argentina, but that’s where things took a turn for the worst.

What did the supporters say?

The fans started singing about all French players being from Angola, before turning their attention to Mbappé, singing that the French players sleep with transvestites as Mbappé did.

Their comments are in relation to rumours regarding Mbappé’s current love life. The star forward is reportedly dating famous trans model Ines Rau, Marca recently noted.

The group of fans then claimed that Mbappé’s mother was from Nigeria and his father was from Cameroon, but his nationality was French.

At one point, the reporter grabbed the microphone back. TyC did not broadcast any of the footage, but a video of the incident was shared and it has since gone viral.

France and Argentina thankfully are not in the same group, but could face each other in the round of 16. Lionel Messi and Mbappé are teammates at Paris Saint-Germain, though.

Mbappe reportedly dating Ines Rau

Kylian Mbappe has been dating famous model Ines Rau for several months, after breaking up with actress Emma Smet, Italian news outlet Corriere Dello Sports reported.

According to media reports, Mbappe and Rau have been in a relationship for several months and were first seen together at the Cannes Film Festival in May this year.

The pair were subsequently seen on a yacht, with the Paris Saint-Germain superstar lifting up his heartthrob as they shared a romantic moment together.
