Despite the litany of injuries which has plagued virtually all the 32 participating countries, fans have trooped to Qatar in their droves to throw their weight behind and act as the 12th man to push their nations to eternal glory.

Aside from the World Cup fever spreading among football fanatics, the fanfare around the Mundial has also caught on with pets - who have been beautifully adorned with various jerseys of countries featuring in the competition.

In photos posted on Twitter, seen by Sports Brief, the puppies did not miss out on a chance to show their love for their countries of choice - or perhaps nations supported by their owners.

The dogs sported various jerseys including Belgium, favourites Argentina, regular participants Mexico, and defending world champions France, as noted by B/R Football.

The Ghana team are expected to arrive in Qatar this week ahead of the imminent commencement of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

In a video posted on social media, hundreds of fans took to Qatar's capital to sing and dance in an awesome display of excitement.
