Sky Sports reported that a study by the CIES Football Observatory found that England’s estimated combined price tag was £1.31 billion.
This ranks them above Brazil (£1.27bn), France (£1.17bn), and even Spain (£1.05bn). Argentina, who are also favourites to take home the title, are only valued at £516.7 million.

And the lowest-valued team?
Costa Rica's squad is valued as the lowest among all the nations competing. Their 26 players cost £20.1 million. England are 65 times more valuable than the Costa Rican outfit.
Who is the most valuable player?
The English team can also boast of having the most valued player at the tournament. The study found that Jude Bellingham, valued at £176.9m, beat the likes of Brazil’s Vinicius Jr and France’s Kylian Mbappe. Vini Jr is valued at £176 million, while Mbappe is only valued at £162 million. Bellingham is only 19 years old.
A lot of eyes will be on Bellingham at the tournament, as his future at Borussia Dortmund remains unclear. The player is wanted by numerous big-name clubs, including Real Madrid and Liverpool. As reported by Marca, Dortmund is already preparing for life without the English youngster next season.
