Rio Ferdinand has accused Cristiano Ronaldo of manufacturing the big interview with Piers Morgan to force an exit from Manchester United after failing to secure a move this past summer.
Ronaldo raised several hot topics in the interview, pointing the finger at Man United ownership under the Glazers, saying nothing has changed since he left the club more than 10 years ago.
Ronaldo returned to the club last year from Juventus in a £12.9 million deal and signed a two-year deal which ends when the current Premier League season ends, according to Sky Sports.

Legendary United defender and Ronaldo's former teammate Rio Ferdinand said the Portugal star had only one goal for the interview, according to the Sun.
“You can’t sit here and defend that from Cristiano Ronaldo. Deep down, and I know it for a fact, this has all been manufactured for one thing - and that’s for him to leave the club."
Ferdinand said there is no way back for Ronaldo after the revelations he made in the interview.
“The book has been closed. He’s snookered the club and put them into a position where there’s no way back."
