The Nigerian Football Federation have announced that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has sustained an injury and won't be in the Super Eagles squad to face Portugal.
Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro recently named his squad for the international friendly against Portugal in which Ahmed Musa and Taiwo Awoniyi were snubbed.
Osimhen who has been in brilliant form this season for Napoli made the list, and with this latest development, the 23-year-old will not play for Nigeria on Thursday, 16 November.
When did he get injured?
According to the update the Nigerian Football Federation provided on their Twitter page, they made it clear that Osimhen has been replaced as they did not explain the nature of his injury.

Interestingly, Napoli did not also release any statement on Osimhen sustaining an injury.
Cyriel Dessers who plays as a forward for Serie A club Cremonese has been called to replace Osimhen for the game against Portugal.
Also, the Nigerian Football Federation disclosed that Olisa Ndah is also injured and Chidozie Awaziem has been called to replace him in the Super Eagles squad.
The coming friendly match will be Portugal's last test game before they travel to Qatar for the 2022 World Cup.
