Moyes returned to the club in 201. It proved to be a fairytale reunion, as he managed to secure the club’s Premier League status and guide them to a European finish in the seasons to follow.
Last season, West Ham reached the semi-finals of the Europa League where they were beaten by Eintracht Frankfurt, who went on to win the competition.
They are currently still in Europe, albeit in the third-tier Europa Conference League, for which they qualified for the last 16.
Despite a poor domestic season so far, Moyes is still held in high regard among the club’s bosses. He is particularly credited for turning midfielder Declan Rice into one of the best in his position in world football.
