Injured Chelsea star Reece James could not help himself, as he brilliantly reacted to Ivan Toney’s brace against Premier League champions Manchester City.
Toney had the perfect response to being overlooked by Gareth Southgate for the World Cup squad, netting a brace which helped Brentford to a first away win over Manchester City in more than 90 years.
The English striker exhibited an all-round superb display, and could have easily bagged a hat-trick on Saturday, November 12.

It was Brentford and Toney who would get the last laugh however, as the 26-year old showed exemplary movement off the ball to benefit from a Da Silva pass, to score the winner in the dying moments of the game from a counter-attack.
That strike meant Toney, who was snubbed ahead of Newcastle’s Callum Wilson, now has 10 league goals this campaign.
Football fans typically flooded social media with varying reactions to Toney’s brace against very tough opponents - and Reece James was among those who had something to say.
The right-back, who was also missing from England’s World Cup squad albeit through injury, took to the comment section of Toney’s post after the game to respond brilliantly, saying:

He accompanied the famous line coined by Jose Mourinho with a laughing emoji, and fans instantly took it as a disapproval of Gareth Southgate’s decision to leave out Toney.
In a TikTok video, James gave a detailed synopsis from the moment he was injured, to the moment he received a heartbreaking diagnosis from a medical team.
James, who lost a spot at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, was hurt during Chelsea's Champions League at AC Milan.
"I stayed an extra day in Milan and just thought maybe it was a little niggle. I think a day or two later, I saw a surgeon, and he told me I was going to be out for around two months."
