Courtois who bagged the Yashin trophy for the best goalkeeper award at the 2022 Ballon d’Or award has conceded in every game he has featured in for Real Madrid this season.

According to Footystats, the Real Madrid goalkeeper has kept zero clean sheets in 10 appearances for the Spanish champions this campaign in one of the league’s worst records.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper concedes an average of 1.2 goals for every 90 minutes that the player is on the pitch after conceding a total of 12 goals in 10 matches for Los Blancos.

Courtois who has struggled with injuries this season will be hoping to rediscover his best form for Real Madrid when La Liga resumes after the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Courtois makes Belgium’s World Cup squad

Thibaut Courtois is expected to be Belgium’s number one goalkeeper when the 2022 World Cup kicks off after being included in Roberto Martinez’s squad for Qatar 2022.

Courtois alongside struggling club teammate Eden Hazard has been selected for the World Cup which kicks off on November 20, Real Madrid reports.

Belgium will hope to surpass their semi-final berth in 2018 after being paired alongside Canada, Morocco, and Croatia in Group F at Qatar.

Courtois launches scathing attack on Ballon d’Or

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has slammed the Ballon d'Or voting process, claiming that it is impossible for a goalkeeper to win the coveted prize.

The 30-year-old became the first Belgian player to clinch the Lev Yashin Trophy after edging competition from Alisson Becker, Ederson Moraes, and Edouard Mendy.

The shot-stopper enjoyed a stunning 2021-22 campaign, keeping 22 clean sheets and conceding just 46 goals across all competitions, helping Real Madrid win the Champions League and La Liga.
