Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has backed his team for success in Qatar, after manager Fernando Santos named a strong 26-man squad for the World Cup.
The Manchester United forward is making a fifth appearance at the global showpiece as Portugal chase their first-ever triumph at the world stage.
Although Ronaldo could be playing at his last World Cup in Qatar, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will be hoping to crown his career with the ultimate prize.
"Once again, ready to raise the name of Portugal high! There are 26 names on Mister Fernando Santos' list, but we are all summoned! Power Portugal!" wrote Ronaldo on Twitter.

Portugal have been drawn in a tough group, which has inaugural winner Uruguay, African giants Ghana and a strong South Korea.
The 2016 European champions open their tournament ambitions with a clash against Ghana on November 24.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Cristiano Ronaldo will lead Portugal into World Cup 2022, following Fernando Santos naming the veteran forward in his 26-man squad on Thursday.
The 37-year-old Manchester United striker has not been first choice for his club this season, but will be part of his country's bid to win the tournament for the first time in their history.
Ronaldo, the captain and all-time leading goal scorer in men's international football with 117, has plenty of younger teammates in support in attack, including Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix and AC Milan's Rafael Leao.
