Germany have announced their squad for the FIFA World Cup, and it’s easy to see why they are one of the favourites.
While there are notable omissions, Hansi Flick’s side still boasts a great mix of youth and experience.
The Mirror reported that stars like Timo Werner and Marcos Reus have missed out due to injury, while veteran defender Mats Hummels has also been left out.
However, Flick has shown faith in Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko, as the 17-year-old striker has been in amazing form heading into the World Cup.

German fans will also be happy to see that Mario Götze has earned his way back into the squad. Götze, who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt, scored the winner in the 2014 final against Argentina.
Flick himself was thrilled to have Götze back.
"He's a brilliant footballer who has flashes of inspiration. Mario has been playing at an extremely high level in the past few weeks. He's really happy and we're looking forward to seeing him," Flick said.
Germany's attack is truly impressive and includes Bayern Munich's, Thomas Müller. Müller will be competing in his fourth tournament. He's one of Germany's golden era players and will be looking to continue his impressive tally at the tournament.

The Borussia Dortmund captain is set to miss another major tournament, this time the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Sports Brief earlier reported.
Eurosport reported that Reus was not selected for Germany’s World Cup squad due to an ankle injury. Reus has been struggling with the ankle injury of late and was unable to shake it before the German squad was announced.
