Wanda Nara has finally got around to opening up on the bitter split between her and Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi.

The two ended their nine-year complicated relationship in September, with the footballer subsequently firing Wanda as his agent.

The break-up was followed by dramatic events. The former PSG star directed a dig towards Wanda after she was spotted kissing a 22-year-old rapper. Icardi also bizarrely flew to Argentina to confront his estranged wife after she was seen getting cosy with the rapper.

The 29-year-old striker is currently on loan to Galatasaray from PSG, having made his name as the captain of Inter Milan a few seasons ago.

Wanda is a media personality in Argentina and married the footballer in Buenos Aires in May 2014. They have two children together, according to the Daily Mail.

Speaking on Italian television, Wanda emotionally said the split was tough.

"It hurts me because I am a person who believes in love forever. I believe in growing old next to the man I chose."

She added that she must move on with life for the sake of their children, according to the Sun.

"But sometimes life surprises you and we must move forward, always look for happiness and show the children that whatever happens in life, one must always look for happiness."

The former Argentine international is now rumoured to be dating Turkish actress Devrim Ozkan. The Argentine was snapped holding hands with soap star Devrim.

Before tying the knot with Icardi, Wanda was married to former a Barcelona star from 2008 until 2013. Maxi Lopez accused Wanda of having an affair with the Argentine while they were teammates at Sampdoria.

Sports Brief earlier reported on Icardi reportedly flying to Argentina to confront Wanda after she was pictured with 22-year-old rapper.

He reportedly failed to inform or seek permission from his club, and the Turkish giants considered terminating his loan deal.

Meanwhile, reports further claim Icardi made his way to a hotel Wanda was staying at but was kept away by security.
