The common feeling among City's top hierarchy is that Guardiola will extend his contract as 90 Min reports. The Spanish head coach has spent seven years in Manchester, the longest period he has spent at a specific club.

Arteta has been at Manchester City before
Arteta served as Guardiola's assistant and is believed to play the same football brand as his tutor. Bayern Munich Head Coach Julian Nagelsmann is also on City's radar. Nagelsmaan has quickly built a reputation for himself as a modern-day manager.
Surprisingly, River Plate's Marcelo Gallardo is also on the list. Gallardo has countless trophies in South America but is not tested in Europe and this could be a huge gamble.
Guardiola will try again to lead Manchester City to the elusive Champions League title which would be his third having won two previously with Barcelona.
