Popular video game company EA Sports has boldy predicted that Lionel Messi's Argentina will win the World Cup.
The company arrived at that conclusion after conducting a simulation using its latest version of FIFA 23.
Argentina fans have every reason to take this as the gospel truth because EA Sports correctly predicted the winners of the past three editions. The company settled for a Spain win in 2010, a German triumph in 2014 and French heroics four years ago in Russia.

There is no denying that both Argentina and Brazil are huge favourites for the title. The two teams are expected to dispatch European opposition in France and Portugal, respectively, in the semi-finals.
Messi has also been touted as the player who will score the most number of goals, with Netherlands forward Memphis Depay finishing second.
Argentina will have to overcome Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Poland in the group stages, while Brazil will have to beat Switzerland, Serbia and Cameroon.
Previously, Sports Brief reported that Luka Modric had touted Argentina as strong favourites to win the World Cup later this year.
