According to Talksport, the high-flying EPL side are ‘close’ to signing Palmeiras midfielder Danilo.
Arsenal have widely been linked with the 21-year-old before following his standout displays with the Brazilian giants.
Brazilian outlet Bola VIP claims the league leaders seem to have stepped up their efforts to snap up the midfielder once the window opens in the new year.
It is understood that Palmeiras are willing to part ways with the youngster, especially with their Copa Libertadores campaign now over.
Danilo is expected to provide competition for Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka as he can operate as a No.6 and No.8.
