Paul Pogba recently remembered an early moment in his career when he decided to make the now-famous switch to Serie A.

He spent three years at the club’s youth system but was eventually transferred to Juventus in 2012.

Fans with long memories will remember that Pogba also won the award back in 2013.

While speaking on Monday during the award which was won by Barcelona youngster Gavi, Pogba was full of praise of his current agent Rafaela Pimenta.

“Rafaela Pimenta is my second mother, she helped me a lot during my career. She made me understand many things not only in the world of football. She is a very important person for me and for my family.” He said as quoted on il Corriere dello Sport.

During the same ceremony, tribute was also paid to the late Mino Raiola, and Pogba was asked to give a story about a memorable moment with the late agent.

The Frenchman did not hesitate in talking about his famous Manchester United exit, which he hinted was down to a very low contract offer.

“When I was young, in Manchester, Sir Alex Ferguson wanted me to sign the renewal. When Mino arrived, he looked at the contract and said ‘I wouldn’t even sign this contract to my dog. Paul, get up, let’s go.’ and off we went.” He said.

Allegri on Pogba's injury

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Allegri’s take on Paul Pogba’s latest injury setback that has ruled the Frenchman out of the Qatar World Cup.

The last time Pogba played a competitive game was in April 2022, and despite making the transfer back to Juventus, the situation with his injuries is yet to improve.

Allegri was quizzed on the Pogba situation ahead of Juventus’ final Champions League group game, but the Italian was seemingly in no mood to discuss his star midfielder’s woes.

He also seemed to hint Pogba orchestrated his own woes by refusing surgery early on in the season.
