Barcelona vs Manchester United draw

The two sides have faced each other several times this century, most notably in the 2009 and 2011 Champions League finals. However, Barcelona triumphed on both occasions, according to the Guardian.

Still, United defeated Barcelona in the semi-final in 2008 en route to their third European crown. When the draw was confirmed, fans went crazy on social media, according to Sky Sports.

One fan claimed the draw was the biggest in all European competitions.

"Manchester United v Barcelona is the biggest game out of the Europa League and Champions League draws today."

Another fan outlined how both teams have fallen from their former glory.

"Just over a decade ago, Barcelona and Manchester United were comfortably the two strongest clubs in world football. Here we are - in 2022 - and they’re fighting for a place in the Europa League Round of 16."

Others felt the draw was so obvious.

"Manchester United vs Barcelona was too INEVITABLE ."
"You can’t tell me these draws are not rigged Barcelona vs Manchester United was so obvious."

Some thought the match would get more attention compared to any in the Champions League.

"We can all agree to the fact that Manchester United vs Barcelona will get more hype than any match in the UCL right?"

One United fan predicted that Barcelona can't beat his team.

"The current Barcelona can't beat Manchester United. I don't know why Arsenal and Chelsea fans are trolling us into the discussion. We only lose to small teams."

United transfer target Frenkie De Jong is set to play in the encounter, but fans trolled him too.

"Imagine Frenkie De Jong sitting on the bench for Barcelona in both games against Manchester United "

Another fan aimed a brutal dig at the two teams.

"Manchester United vs Barcelona, two finished teams."

United have beaten Barcelona once in their last 10 meetings.
