Manchester United may have won the battle against Real Sociedad in the Europa League, but the Spanish side won the war.
The English Premier League beat the La Liga outfit 1-0 but finished second behind them in the group.
As a result, Sociedad progressed to the last 16 of the tournament, while United will have to play a two-legged tie to qualify for the last 16. They will have to face a team that finished third in their group in the Champions League, meaning they could face teams like Barcelona, Juventus, or even Ajax.
With the knowledge that they were safely at the top of the group and through to the next round, Sociedad’s mascot, Txurdin, decided to mock the English side and Cristiano Ronaldo in particular, after the game.

As noted by Sportskeeda, Txurdin could be seen entertaining the Sociedad fans by performing Ronaldo’s Siu celebration.
Sociedad’s Twitter account also shared a video of the moment, captioning it, ‘Txurdin is the best and discussion is not allowed.’
Who is Txurdin?
Txurdin was unveiled as the club’s mascot back in 2019. Sociedad’s website said he was inspired by the cartoon drawing of the club crest.
“With his mischievous stare, he promises a lot of fun moments,” the club stated at the time.
Txurdin definitely had mischievous fun on the sidelines as he mocked the Manchester United man.
