- Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revisited his issues with Pep Guardiola by claiming that the manager's big ego often prevents players from realising their full potential
- Ibrahimovic has now warned Erling Haaland to be careful around the acclaimed head coach who he fell out with during their time at Barcelona
- Haaland, who once named Ibrahimovic as his role model, has started life brilliantly under Guardiola
Veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has sent out a chilling warning to Manchester City star Erling Haaland.
Haaland has taken the English Premier League by storm after swapping Borussia Dortmund for the EPL defending champions. He has so far scored 17 goals under Pep Guardiola.
The Norwegian striker has been billed as one of the next Ballon d'Or winners, but Ibrahimovic has now come out to warn him. The AC Milan striker has cited his personal relationship with Guardiola as a reason why Haaland might fail to achieve his full potential.
Ibrahimovic worked with Guardiola at Barcelona, but the duo did not have the best of relationships. The Swede has been criticising the Spanish manager at every opportunity he gets.

'Haaland is an intelligent player'
He has now admitted that he is a fan of Haaland.
"I like Haaland very much, he’s a very intelligent player. He doesn’t do things that aren’t within his reach, he doesn’t drop deep to play the ball. He waits in front of the goal and scores," as quoted by MEN.
Ibrahimovic has, however, warned that Guardiola could impede Haaland's potential.
"It depends on Guardiola’s ego, whether he lets him become bigger than he is or not. Why didn't he allow me to improve? Because it didn't just happen to me, but to many others."
Nagelsmann unsure when Neuer will return before World Cup
FootballBoth Haaland and Ibrahimovic are currently out with injuries, but the former could make a comeback this weekend when his side play Fulham.
Ibrahimovic slams Kylian Mbappe
Sports Brief had earlier reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic had blasted Kylian Mbappe for trying to be bigger than Paris Saint-Germain after eye-watering details of his new huge contract were leaked.
Mbappe signed a mega 3-year deal with the French champions this summer, snubbing an initial verbal agreement with Real Madrid for a potential deal.
It was widely reported last month that the Frenchman feels betrayed by the top brass of PSG for failing to fulfil the promises made to him before inking his new deal.
