Nigerian Striker Rasheedat Ajibade Nominated for Prestigious Award at Atletico Madrid

Nigerian striker Rasheedat Ajibade has been nominated for the October Player of the Month Award at Atletico Madrid Femenino.

Ajibade was in brilliant form for Atletico in October as she overcame an unproductive outing in September and the Super Falcons star is now winning the hearts of the fans.

According to the report on Soccernet, the 22-year-old Nigerian youngster was involved in five of Atletico Madrid’s twelve goals in October which helped her to be nominated.

Ajibade will contest the prize alongside Ainhoa Moraza, Ludmila Silva, Shei, and Estefania Banini.

The Super Falcons star has struck four goals in seven games for Atletico Madrid Femenino this season.

Ajibade played for FC Robo from the 2013 Nigeria Women Premier League season till 2018 season.

In 2014, she was listed as one of the best young talents in the league. In September 2018, she won the Nigerian women football freestyle competition for the second consecutive time.

Osimhen makes Serie A team

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian international Victor Osimhen was named in the Serie A team of the week, following his 5-star performance in their win over the weekend.

The Napoli striker scored his first career hat-trick in his side's 4-0 win over Sassuolo in the Italian top flight.
