FootballKhvicha Kvaratskhelia: The Budding Napoli Talent That Made Trent Alexander Arnold’s Life Unbearable
- Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's rise to stardom has happened less than three months after he joined Napoli
- The Georgian has now been likened to the famous Diego Maradona with his skills and ingenuity making him a fan favourite
- He recently left Trent Alexander-Arnold embarrassed with a silky skill during a Champions League tie at Anfield Stadium
Prior to the start of this season, very few people knew Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The rather diminutive winger with a tongue-twister of a name had just signed for Napoli from Dinamo Batumi.
He arrived from the Georgian club with a lot of weight on his shoulders. Napoli had just lost long-serving attackers Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens.
Napoli's decision to bring a rather unknown player to replace the two stalwarts was questioned far and wide. Head Coach Luciano Spaletti immediately thrust him into action against Verona on match day one of the Serie A seasons.
He took just 37 minutes to score his debut competitive goal and has been a constant figure since then in Napoli's ascension to the top of the table.

The Georgian international has so far scored 6 goals and provided a further 5 goals. He has also shone in big European games, specifically at Anfield, as Napoli finished ahead of Liverpool in the Champions League stages.
The renaissance of Diego Maradona
He has even been christened the name Kvaradona in remembrance of Napoli legend Diego Maradona.
In the first leg, he tormented Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold as Napoli raced to a 3-0 lead at halftime. In the return leg this week, Kvaratskhelia was at it again with a sublime nutmeg against Alexander-Arnold.
The 21-year-old was a constant menace for Jurgen Klopp's defence despite not getting a goal contribution.

Football"He is really good, the boy, and really quick and you have to defend him together in these moments. When he has the advantage of the first movement, then he is already gone," said Klopp, as quoted by This Is Anfield.
Kvaratskhelia has already started to attract interest from other top European clubs.
Kvaratskhelia's asking price revealed
Sports Brief has also reported that Napoli’s breakout star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is valued at a staggering £86million should the Italian club decide to sell him in the near future.
The Georgian winger has taken Serie A by storm this season, and is now one of the biggest prospects in world football at the moment.
From the flanks, Kvaratskhelia has six goals and five assists and has been instrumental in Napoli’s success so far in the campaign.
