Anthony Annan has charged the current Black Stars team with surpassing the achievement of the 2010 team that reached the quarter-final of the World Cup.
The former Ghana midfielder was a key cog in the 2010 Black Stars team in South Africa, playing a pivotal role at the tournament.
The Black Stars were just a kick away from making the semi-final, but a last-minute penalty miss from Asamoah Gyan and a subsequent shootouts meant the end of the journey for Ghana in South Africa.
Ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Annan has advised the team to take it game by game.

"We basically have a new set with the knowledge of the task ahead," he told 3 Sports. They have to put their best to go beyond what we did or reach the same level that we reached in 2010. I hope and believe they will be able to do it."
Annan explained that he had belief that Ghana would go far in 2020 after witnessing the Black Stars' performance in Germany in 2006.
"We saw how far the team went. We gave ourselves the target to reach there or go beyond that. We took it game after game and we were focused and determined to win," he added.

Annan moves to TPS Turku
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan has completed a move to Finnish outfit Turun Palloseura, the club have officially announced.
The 35-year-old joins the Turku-based club on a year's deal after fruitful negotiations, with the option to extend for a further year.
Annan was unattached after leaving fellow Finnish club Inter Turku in January, where he made just two appearances for the side.
